Bound for South Australia: the exhibition
Nine ships, 546 people, on the journey of a lifetime. What was it like to leave your home for a new life on the other side of the world 175 years ago? Re-live this extraordinary journey, told in their own words from journals, letters and diaries and through the things they brought with them. For the first time, the people, stories and artefacts are brought together in a single exhibition that tells how the Province of South Australia began.
