Friday 16 September 1836

This 24 hours light winds and rain at times employd
prepairing for sea received on board 1 boat load of wood
and five spars belonging to the ship we landed under
M^r Stevens care got in the Starboard quater boat
After the various employments of the day we assembled for
prayer read part of St Johns gospel I felt my heart softened
any soul near a naked crucified Christ and riseing assended
Saviour bless the Lord O my soul may my beloved wife and children
be the care of the all wise all mercifull Creator Redeemer & santifier
