Saturday 16 April 1836

This 24 hours cloudy weather though plesent wind
ENE increaseing employd putting down the salt
provisions we had on deck in the room of water we
got up we unbent the chain from the Anchor put
the cables below and cleaned down the decks

In the morning read a chapt in Leviticus my
watch word to day the Lord is my strength and
my shield we had no prayers in the cabin in
being so late before we where done clearing the
deck but all could go on thier knees and bless
God for thier being and well being
