weighed & beat out of the roads of St Helen’s.

At 10, having weathered St Catherine’s point, we kept away

& set topmast & tgt studg sails. P.M. light winds & fine.

Wind drew forward to Westly. Braced sharp up on larbd

tack. 8. Tacked off Portland. Cloudy wr. Midt. Tacked.
