    Hi Peter,
    Are you looking for a picture of Henry Douglas??
    There is a book “Happy was our Valley” The Douglas Family History….Ern Carmichael and Barbara Mullins…. this has the story of Henry Douglas and his children and their farm at Happy Valley.
    He is my grandfather’s grandfather also – so we are related.

    My Grandfathers grandfather Henry Douglas was one of 3 passengers on Nelson Emma, nelson brought his wife and sons? plus the rum!! Ive not been able to secure one image of him his ship ……quiet a mystery really or is it!

    Henry gave up his cabin for the HARES! and bunked with Nelson and his family .

    Hare wrote scaving letter to Angus , copy in SA Memory

    All animal;s swept off ship with exception of 5 sheep who made it !
    Hare was Suipe cargo and later director of first Yalta prison ! and MLA x 2!
