Most part of this 24 hours light winds from the north

employd gitting some of the pasengers things on

shore Mrs Bear went on shore under verry trying

circumstances and verry painfull – in the afternoon Mr

Stevens and myself went to the east part of the bay

of shoals we found a large well with a cask sunk

in it we surposed it to be sunk by the French navi

gator we tryed our fishing tackle but could not

catch fish returned on board the two apprentices

and myself had prayers in the cabin
