This 24 hours gentle breeses from the eastward plesent
weather all sail set steering S½E employed fitting the
pertious blocks strops and other necesary work as

In the morning read the 5th chapt of Leviticus with
tract commentry and dureing the day the life of Dr
Herbert in the everning read to a few of the crew the
49th and 50th Psalms and Horns commentry with an exhor
tation to the people to pray for the heathen I felt my
soul much alive to God but afterwards had to settle
with the steward and cabin boy both bing drinking
they are mostly in the lower cabin out of my sight
