Augst 31st I had the three unfortunate Sheep & Lamb, laying
by the Fire all Night, and find the Ewe & Lamb, considerably
better this Morng being able to stand upon their Legs, and
eat a little choice Grass, but One of the Rams is dead, &
the other not much better  _______   I therefore must attribute
the loss of his fine Animal to be caused by the greatest neg-
-ligence & cruelty of the party, who brought them from Kings-
-cote yestdy, as even the poor Things that could Walk, were
completely saturated with Salt Water and unable to eat a
bite of any kind of Fodder on their arrival here  ________
