Builder John White sailed for South Australia aboard the Tam O’Shanter with his brother George. He made notes on the voyage between 26 July 1836 and 8 September. The handwritten entries, while not easy to read and featuring idiosyncratic spelling, contain information about sailing and weather conditions, and people and events on board.
