Captain Morgan’s letter to Angas 8 March 1836

Captain Robert Morgan, of the Duke of York, wrote to George Fife Angas on 8 March 1836, while the ship was off the Isle of Wight. The letter was received by Angas the following day.

Captain George Martin, of the John Pirie, wrote to his wife Mary on 29 October 1836 from Hobart Town. The letter includes a summary of the voyage to South Australia, a pen sketch of Hobart, and discussion of arrangements for the family to join Captain Martin in Australia.
